Thank God that each day we live is a new one. Twenty four more hours to figure things out. I see from previous posts some of my thinking has not been right. Fortunately I am feeling better now, I see more clearly that we do have hope. I will change my picture to something a little more hopeful. We do have things down here worth fighting for. And it is for that reason that we continue. We may grow weary but we do NOT give up. God is our refuge and strength…. a very present help in trouble. He is for us. He does not forsake His Children. We can find rest in Him. He holds the keys of LIFE!!!
Lately I find myself thinking that I should become less focused on the News and more focused on the Word. In watching the news I find that I get so upset and focused on the problems of this world that I forget my focus should be on God’s redemptive work and that He is the ONE that has OVERCOME this place in which we dwell.
I need to watch less TV and read more. I need to pray more and complain less. If I want my soul renewed, I need to change my focus and my habits. It is like the old saying garbage in garbage out. Well, I think I have had enough garbage for the time being so I will write more about the TRUTH and less about the corruption found on this earth.
“Come let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In His hand are the depths of the earth and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker, for He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care. Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts…..” Psalm 95:1-8a
“My child, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God for the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Prov 2:1-6
